I planted five bulbs last fall, the flowers are beautiful. I can't seem to find any info on whether these plants will multiply. Can anyone help?
Crown Imperials

It states: Divide dormant bulbs in autumn and replant
immediately. The bulbs produce offshoots which can be
used for propagation.
Thanks, found some beautiful brilliant red bulbs today which I may order but they are $12 each bulb - but I love the yellow and orange so probably will get some RED!
Candee - My neighbour in England had a garden full of yellow crown imperials and they spread like mad. In fact her back garden was full of them. Very expensive plant back home!
you should plant them on a base of horticultural grit as they dont like being too damp in the winter. once they get established there's no stopping them.
I have some slides of other Frits that I will have in my photo albums soon. I'll post when they are there
