The nutmeg seeds must be very fresh, otherwise they won't be able to sprout.

Hi, I think you can find a lot at the tropical foodmarket. Some roots meant to use in the dishes can root easily, just try.
Even from the tropical fruits they sell you can save the seeds for growing.

I don't think they sell fresh nutmegs ;) I've grown plants from tropical fruit seeds Iäve bought, but not anymore.

yes the viabilaty is very short and they need to be planted within a few days of harvest or kept in a damp medium. but be planted as soon as possable
