Seeing a poster, and then the trailer, for the movie based on Oscar Wilde's play "The Importance of Being Earnest" has me thinking about books and plays that have been made into movies.
What are some of your favorites? Which ones have been closest to their original stories? Which ones massacred their stories? Do you like doing first, seeing the movie or reading the book? And if there have been multiple movies made of a story, which adaptation do you like best and why?
No, you're not in school and there won't be a test. ;) I just thought it might be fun to discuss this since so many summer movies are based on novels.
