Seed Company

Funny how things turn out. I was just cursing my lot because I was looking for a particular seed catalogue and realised I've thrown it away and the recent version of my ISP is playing up so I signed on with an older version. Looking through my favourites I found I'd saved the web site of the seed catalogue on my old version!

Anyway, I got the catalogue from the NCCPG last year but never bought anything from it, so I can't recommend them but I thought I'd share the web site anyway.

Secrect Seeds have quite a range of unusual perennials and some exotics. While they need a proof reader for the web site it doesn't take away the fact that they do offer some different stuff.

Thanks Baa!! Ha ha, just what I needed. They have a very nice selection and I'm busy creating yet another wish list. I may not order but it sure is fun to look. :-)

Regarding seed catalogues, if any of you can read French or German, there is an excellent Swiss catalogue that specialise in (organic) heritage vegetables. The flowers tend to be the old varieties and there isn't much choice of varieties but the vegetable section is good and so is seed quality. They're not on the web but if anyone is interested (they send seed abroad) a seed catalogue can be ordered from zollinger-samen@ bluewin.ch

Deblynn I thought of you when I posted ;)

Philomel you'll enjoy a quiet browse with this catalogue I'm sure!

My foreign language skills leave a lot to be desired but I might give it a try. Thanks for the link :)

Frau Zollinger speaks English and the Latin names of the plants are printed under the German ones so you could get by!

That is good to know! I have a friend who cannot speak a word of French but he regularly buys seeds and plants from French language catalogues.
