Edelweiss

Time for me to gloat! My edelweiss is 4 years old and in sore need of dividing. Never read anything about how to do it. Any ideas?

I just dug mine up and then cut mine into four pieces. Amended the soil where I wanted to plant it and watered for next few days. You can add a little bonemeal in the planting hole too if you wish. Bonemeal assists with root development for transplants.

Thank you Joydie. I will divide mine in a couple of days! The crowns were getting so over-crowded that many of them died from lack of space, but I was so nervous about dividing it. I was afraid I would just kill the whole plant.

How is it doing, or IS it doing still?
