Here's my first lily bloom of the season. I was told it's not a true species, but a cultivar introduced after 1920. Very Fragrant!
Lemon lily?
It sure is a pretty one.
Beautiful not find here at all wish I could find that smell , I always wanted.
Beautiful! According to Ben Arthur Davis, daylily expert, there were two species mentioned in the early literature, one was the lemon lily, going back to 1575! Linnaeus named it Hemerocallis lilio-asphodelus flavus. He later shortened the name to H. flava. I believe the name has changed again, back to the original! Yours could well be a cultivar, it look a little more substantial than the species...
REDROSE, Hyperion also has a nice lemon scent.
That's gorgeous.
REDROSE, When the Missouri Marble blooms you will have plenty of lemon smell.
NP that is so nice and yellow.
