Is there any particular soil that these two herbs grow best in other than the standard potting soil? Is there anything extra I should be adding to promote the best growth?
Thanks

Parsley and Basil

Janice: Herbs don't like to be over fertilized. They will grow fine in just the potting soil and then in the garden soil. Parsley can take awhile to germinate. Basil is a very fast germinator and grows quickly.
And, Basil absolutely loves warm soil. Too soon, and not much will happen. My parsley will grow just about anywhere, but all the basils are fussy about enough sun, and warm soil. I don't set any out here in 6b (WNC) until June.
