no as they would only just have hatched. The finger isnt being pointed at the usual suspect the Magpie but that pain in the *** American import. The Grey Squirrel no less. These guys do so much damage at this time of year that the guy who brought them over should be hung drawn and quartered.

the nest was in a postion, stoopid anyway, that a Maggie could balance to do this.

We've got a few Magpies here in our yard, and their a pain in the ****, they've chased nearly all of the littlest birds away in the last 2 years.
They like to waken us up with their loud squawking at 5:30 in the morning. I'm sure somebody is going to have a pot-shot at them, since they're in trees not 5 metres away from another house's bedroom window.

I've not seen any grey squirrels for a long time, but I know a lot of the Germans treat them as rats. Prob. right too.
