since March 10th I've been waiting for my new beds to begin and today the new guy kept his word. here's how we finished off today after running out of sand.

What kind of stone are you using? It's all artificial stuff here unless you can pay the earth :(
it's broken paving slabs with the rough side out.
once it's weathered down with milk, yoghurt or whatever it will look like natural stone.

The yoghurt trick works a treat doesn't it?
I've done a couple of things with that compost/cement mix to make artificial tufa. Intend to do some more, that's quite successful.

Why didn't you make the flower beds yourself? We did.. 80 GBP is a lot of money - 760 Finnish markka, 128 €, and 165108597 Turkish lires :9
£80 isnt a lot of money Evert. I could spend that over a weekend and have nothing to show for it.
so what I paid for it I could be a multi millionaire in Turkey!! LOL
