Baa, if you tell me what you have I can go to a nursery that specialises in Primulas and get you a couple.

Thanks Mark :)

I'll have to go and look at the tags, one of the few things I keep a record of are the Auriculas because the slugs tend to have a good munch on them each year, most come back eventually.

Looks like only you and I grow them!

I used to, but have lost all the ones i had over time - what an admission!
Lovely plants. Nearly bought some at a sale the other day, but unfortunately my head ruled my heart (rare occurence!) and decided to wait til i stand some chance of keeping them going properly.

Primulas do well here. In fact, when I peeled back the straw mulch on my south bed today, there was a dwarf white polyanthas blooming under the straw! Last year I started florindaes, viallis, and dwarf polyanthas, so I'm eager to see how they wintered over... when that bed is free of snow!

This spring I started some other kinds indoors. I have two flats of the denticulata, as well as some of the tall polyanthas. I had less luck with the japonicas and the bulleyanas.

I love the florindae Weez, but it's not wet enough here to grow them without a lot of care. Now when i've got my bog garden going.............

Yes, I guess you're right about the wetness. Don't most primula prefer wetter, cooler climates?
