Swallows are here, yipee!!!

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

hi all

this morning I saw a mixed flock of Swallows and Martins flying around the river that runs through Antrim town centre. Great to see them but they are here about 3 weeks early. A sudden cold snap will finish them off.

April 14th, 2001 and April 14th, 2002 it snowed here and it lay for a couple of days. Snow now would finish these early arrivals very quickly.

A Wheatear has also been spotted over here.

it was so warm today I has sweating. I'll keep you posted on how warm it was today.
