Scaled some Asiatic now what do I do

Paducah, KY(Zone 6a)

I thought this would be a fun thing to try. I put some
scales in a baggy with moist woods chips and left them
in the dark for about a month now and there is little
bulblets everywere. What should I do now? Plant them
up? Help please.

Pop them on soil in a pot and wait for the first leaves to arrive, don't plant them as yet. The bulblets should root themselves in a few months

SiberianIris,

Can you define "scales" for me? I've not done that before and it sounds interesting. I've heard of "quartering" a bulb before, but not using scales. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Smiln - here's a link that explains it well http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/howto/backtobasics/scale_lily_bulb/index.shtml

Thanks. That's interesting. I'd never heard of it before. Nice clear description on that site, too.

Again more wonderful help from this site. To think of all the scales I've thrown away!
