Spring Charm Arabis

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Here's one of my favorite Rock Cress. It blooms in early spring. The usual color is the alba, but this deep pink is quite eye catching. I have pale pink ones as well.

They are an excellent rock garden or border plants and they are attractive in pots, as well. In ideal conditions, they form a beautiful soft green mat that is attractive even when not in bloom. If kept moist, the under stems will throw air roots that can be rerooted quite easily.

It is zoned for 3-8, likes sandy soil, and will tolerate drought. You'll find more info in Dave's Database.

Oops! The white arabis is caucasica, not alba. Here the database page: http://plantsdatabase.com/go/361.html
