black vulture!

Just had to share this because I thought it was really neat! I work as a small animal veterinarian (mostly cats and dogs), but occasionally get the chance to work with the local rehabilitators in helping out some of the local wildlife. Saw a black vulture a few weeks ago that must have gotten hit by a car and ended up with a broken wing. We decided to try and pin the fracture, and today the bird came back to get the pin taken out and is doing great! What a really neat bird to see close up and in person-just watch out for the beak and claws!!
