This is a sampler I have that is dated 1801. It was done by Margaret Pluright,who I believe was one of my ancestors. In addition to the alphabet and numbers it has 2 verses stitched as well as something I really can't make out. As I type this it occurs to me it's 200 years old. WOW..never thought about that before!!
