Countdown to Cable

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Wooooo-hooooo! Howie made his weekly call to Adelphia (our cable TV provider) and asked if our neighborhood was ready to roll with cable internet access...And the guy said they'd JUST gotten the all-clear this morning. Howie got us on the list for installation on Monday. We are too far from our exchange's switching station to get DSL, so this is our only option for broadband and we've been waiting months while they've hooked up other areas of town.

BTW, we've been using the free version of ZoneAlarm as our firewall up to this point. Does anyone have any recommendations on a firewall? And how should we configure things since we have a home network set up and we'll be sharing the broadband connection between the desktop and laptop computers?
