Does anyone know of a way to deter leafcutter bees? I live in an "oasis" in the low desert and they are a huge problem because my little clump of dreen is the only green for quite a ways. I know they are protected by the Feds because they are great polinators, but I have never seen the damage they do to my garden anywhere else. Most people have a little hole here and there, but my roses, bouganvillea, wisteria, and even Chorisia gets chewed so badly it takes the rest of the year to recover. They won't be out until late April but I'll be on the lookout! My garden is chemical free, by the way, but I'm ready to try just about anything short of some major insecticide.
