Anybody know how I can get big dogs out of flowerbeds?

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I kept neighbor's dog a few months ago for several weeks and he of course slept in the soft pine straw in my flower beds; now his master is at home, but he still comes over to nap in my flowerbeds. And now my big white lab (Moe) wants to sleep in the beds, too. They have even made little holes to snuggle in and I want them out of my beds and into their's. (Moe sleeps on a big rug in the mud room of my house at nite, but daytime naps are in the flowers) The neighbor's dog is so sweet I can't be mean to him or hollar at him. What about sprinkling red pepper about the bed? What will that do to my bulbs when I water? Anybody got any ideas?
