Cost of Koi?
I guess "area" is relative on cost. I could expect to pay that around here. That size around here 6-10" averages around $20-$30. The new pond store that opened here last year actually has some koi in there for $5000.00!!!!
I always buy the 3-4" for about $6, but that's at Petsmart, but at almost any pet store around here you can get them for that. I have to take my chances when I go and hope they have some metallic ones, or really pretty though. They grow so fast, there's not much need in buying the bigger ones, but that's just my opinion. I'm sure he's beautiful and I hope he has a long life! Just remember they aren't like goldfish, they won't 'grow to the size of the pond'. That's where I made my big mistake, and now I have too many. Somebody's gonna have to find a new home in the spring.
