ID this plant please

Houston, TX

I found this in a curbside trash in the neighborhood. Plant seems OK. Poured water to it. I don't know the name of this plant and where to plant it. Open sun? The plastic trays says mums.

Thanks

Aloe

I agree with May,

Aloe

Could be Aloe vera. True Aloe vera have upright, often with two branches, flower stems . . . with long, narrow, bright yellow, flowers. I live in the SW Calif. desert, and here they prefer some shade. Most Aloe are under-story plants, but several like more sun than Aloe vera! I think of it as more of a coastal plant in my part of California!
