Miniature Schefflera Help Please

Not too long ago I inherited a container of mixed plants from a neighbor who passed away. It likely originally contained several plants, but when I got it there was only one miniature schefflera surrounded by a bunch of arrow plants (not certain the actual name). I'm surprised the schefflera managed to survive among the arrow forest but somehow it did. I already have a couple of beautiful arrow plants in containers but want to encourage the schefflera to come into its own and I've started with cutting back all the arrow plants to the soil, which now exposes only a tall schefflera with one "stalk" and no braches. Obviously it needs pruning to encourage this but I'm not sure how drastically I need to go about it. Suggestions would be welcome!

I wouldn’t do it in winter but in spring. You can prune drastically.
