Invasive weed ID?

Cedar Park, TX

I've never seen this weed before in our back garden - going back 18 years. This spring hundreds appeared, and there's no accounting for the areas they've popped up in - by my spreading mulch, or any other activity I can think of.
We are in NW Austin at the edge of the Texas Hill Country.
Flowers are obscure and green, clustered @ leaf stem bases.
Grows into a small bush, branching from ground.
Help!
