Hey guys, zone 7b here.
I planted a few Carex sp. "Everillo" sedges in late fall. We were hit with an unseasonably early and cold freeze (dropped 50 degrees in 24 hours, down to 4 degrees!).
Anyways, this "evergreen" grass lost all of its green from the freeze. I cut the dead foliage off a week or two ago, same as I do my monkey grass, to make room for new growth.
Well, my monkey grass has woken up and is sending up new growth. My carex sedge is just sitting there still w no new signs of life. Hoping I don't need to replace it- at $15 a plant, it adds up quick!
I'm wondering, if it made it, when would I expect to see it wake up here in zone 7b?
