CLOSED: Identification please

Thunder Bay , Canada

Found these three different insects in the garden today. Sorry for the bad focusing but I'm hoping there's enough there for you to be able to identify. The caterpillar is quite long, over one inch. The grouping of bugs are aphids I'm assuming but I've never seen dark ones, only light green. The last one, no idea and it's on a pine tree. Thanks so much for any and all help.

The first image is a pupa of a lady beetle (family Coccinellidae).
The second image looks like a toadflax brocade caterpillar (Calophasia lunula, in the family Noctuidae) - see https://clewergardendiary.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/img_8106a.jpg
The insects in the third image are indeed aphids, they can come in many colors besides green.

Thank you Flapdoodle for all that info. I'm quite interested in the toadflax brocade caterpillar. Time to do some googling. Thank you again.
