This appears to be a click beetle (family Elateridae). They usually do not have such prominent setae ('hairs') on their bodies.

Also a key ID'ing characteristic for Click Beetles (Elateridae) is Lateral margins of prothorax point backward. Which your specimen displays in the image.

Some false click beetles (Eucnemidae) also show that characteristic - see https://marylandbiodiversity.com/record/492863
