There is no setting. You will receive an email notification after three days of not logging in if you get a private message. Otherwise, you must log in and check your thread watcher for responses to your questions or comments. You can also follow threads by pressing the "watch" symbol but you will not receive email alerts. I can't say for sure about this site, but other similar sites attract advertisers based on frequency of log ins and time spent on site so it behooves them to have you checking in frequently and stay on awhile. Thanks for that confirmation. Yes that has been my experience. Get a notice of a new message, but no notice on the replies after that conversation has started.
