To attract green lacewings, I’ve found wheast to buy online, and diy recipes. My concern is that the sugar will attract roaches, and more ants than I already have. I want the green lacewings, due to aphids and spider mites. Ants are in my garden and on my apple tree, but I don’t know what type. I’ve looked up types of ants, but can’t tell what these are.
My two questions are: 1) Will setting wheast around on wooden steaks/popsicle sticks in the garden attract unwanted pests? 2) What kind of ants are these?
Here’s a picture of the ants.
I appreciate any help.
