I noticed this on my pepper plant this morning. It's on the leaves and stem. It's like a black ooze. It's been rainy/hot/humid so I thought maybe a fungus. I was told maybe aphids too.
What is causing this black liquid?
It could be black mold which grows on honeydew that is secreted by aphids. Check for ants and aphids. I do see some kind of insects under the leaf on the right.
