Hello all! I am officially retired after one of the busiest years' working ever and boy am I ready to spend more time on DG when I'm not gardening. : ) Storms brought on by cold front moved in last night. About 25 degrees F cooler today. Wind has subsided, but gloomy and damp. Transitional weather from Winter to Spring, so can be expected this time of year. Snowdrops blooming. Pic of migrating pelicans at nearby Horseshoe Lake in Madison County, IL from 3/24/2018. Anticipating their arrival this Spring.

Cold snap with snow and possible accumulation 1 - 3 inches. Temps right below freezing for daytime. Forecast for Sunday and upcoming week so far is high in lower 60s. Can't wait!

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

I believe our cold spells will be tolerable from now on, even if Easter is a month away yet. Supposed to be 79* tomorro, lows around upper 40's* and the sun feels good with that south wind coming in off the Gulf. Storms yesterday brought 1 3/4" rain that we really needed. Heading out to plant the tomatoes in ground tomorro.

March returned after a few days of pleasant Spring like weather and tested my new garden Weasel claw. Snow flurries this morning (no accumulation) and temps in upper 30s and low 40s. Working on my kitchen renovation, so it's all good. Tulips and periwinkle most recent bloomers here.

I didn't see an April thread so I started one here. Hope you don't mind. Betty : )
