Lots of crazy things in weather everyday.
Here we are starting with a very cold day.
At the moment, -8º with NW wind at 19 MPH, making a wind chill of -33º.
I think I will stay in today.
Any ideas how we can get more people to join us?
New greenhouse waits for warm weather to continue the build.
Cabinet work goes on. Did 4 kitchens & uther projects in 2021.
Also big year for greenhouse.
Opened for people to come here because of Covid19 restrictions.
Had a booming business. Kept Bertha very busy.

Temperature falling from 52 to 31 tonight , raining now May freeze tonight First barely even cold night in weeks .Incredibly warmer here for a while ,
Still waiting on Winter to arrive, tomorrow will be first frost, cross fingers, but in the meantime, 81* a bit of wind, and a ton of weeds.
Kitt we have had a few frosts here but not in a while so early in the morning will be our first in well over a month

I am hunkering down today. Probably work in the cabinet shop.
50* at 5 am dropped to 18* (WIND CHILL) or 28* with gusting winds 14 to 18mph, a lot of sunshine, and 1/8" of light rain as temps dropped. I am cold. Went out and double checked things like faucetts, frost covers, ya know, plants that may or may not make it, came back in to thaw (and I still have my northern wear gear from driving the north). The ground had stayed 80*s so long, it is still cooling thankfully, so I added more wraps and broken pots around exposed places. Now, popcorn anyone?
Started at 38 down to 12 now a few flurries today , Wind advisory dropped but a cold 10 or 15 winds with gusts still here ,
3 AM -7º wind NW at 21MPH.
I am staying put today.
17 degrees 3 the chill wind at 10 or 15 with the temperature falling to 6 will make for a cold night and tomorrow morning ,
This is the current view at my house. We just had 2-3 inches. I watched my neighbor across the street try to stop her car so she could back into her driveway, but she just kept on sliding. She was finally able to get some traction and park in the driveway. It's 23°. :-(
We haven't had much snow. 8" about mid December, but 70º a few days later it was gone. Only a skiff on the ground now.
-11º & sunny. warm up tomorrow.
Birds are busy at the feeders. Mostly Blue Jays & Sparrows.

I am perfectly fine with no snow. Yup. Watched as NY dealt with theirs and sat back happy it was finally back up to 48* this afternoon. However, it is 50* out there now and I am looking at 70* by noon. 90% chance of rain tho. I did say I needed it to rain, south warm rain will make the plants happy. Got my dpt booster today, then got home and heard my great grandson has started his journey into the world today. Big Breath. Timing was good. They will be home in a few days if the boy doesn't back off and stay where its warm, chuckl. Waving hello at ya up there in that frozen world CG- and JU!
Hanging around night and day tween 40's and 50's and lower 60's. It feels like Spring weather, not winter, so I figure Winter will come in Feb and March. He is a tiny thing. Nibbles and sleeps, Dillons' dog Oakley barks at them if they let him cry, that baby belongs to her as far as she is concerned. Has felt like rain all around us, but I have stayed dry outdoors. Fed the birds and hung the gourd houses out and around, I have no clue how gourd houses will do in this humidity-and hopefully the squirrels won't think they are food.
Today ill be third day of nice. Been sunny & in the forties.
Tomorrow, winter will be back. 5" of snow coming.
We are headed for twin cities this morning to pick up cabinet doors & drawers.
Long drive but cheaper than having them shipped.
Tomorrow starts the gardening season. Will be starting Geraniums, so they bloom by Mothers Day.
Icy water in outside water bowl, but 52* and heading warmer today, a very idle wisp of breeze outside. Computer is about to get too old to use, and am getting my new iPhone figured out.
We got 6" snow Friday.

Sorry, been fighting my computer and the wifi networks here. We went from 72* for several days to cold. cold. temp says 34* and a light rain making the weather channel think it is snow out there...bam, there is the drizzle. feels like 27* but I threw the frost covers over tonight, maybe what is left of my greens will survive. Might make it to 48* after lunch, love your kittens CG
We are in cold snap. Up & down, below zero then a little warm up & back down again. Lots of wind!
It's currently 24° but going up to 48° today and 54° tomorrow. That will eliminate the rest of the snow and ice. Hate ice! My deck is a disaster from all the foot traffic and the Ice Melt. Even though it's covered, we've had a lot of wind blowing in snow. Warming=melting, but cold nighttime temps=refreezing. The deck needs a good cleaning. That's not much use until Spring.
4" of snow overnight. Then a dusting late this afternoon.
These snow events are called Alberta Clippers.
They start in Alberta, Canada & move across the Dakota's & MN.
This time it was 3 in a row. About 24 hours apart.
minus temp's most of the day, now 5º. Brrr!
