Very small insects found underneath ventilator, top of toilet seat

Barrie, Canada

These guys are incredibly small, you wouldn't be able to tell they're there without magnification. There seems to 4 legs, a tipped head and a long round end.
Some of them scuttle a little, most stay still.
(Until we can identify them, do we clean the toilet seat? Any risk of further propagation/contamination?)

These appear to be booklice (Psocodea: Liposcelidae); harmless nuisance pests that feed primarily on mold spores and bits of decomposing organic matter. They require a moist environment in order to thrive, so lowering indoor humidity levels as much as practical is a good control.
