CLOSED: Spider and eggs on cedarwood

Denver, CO

Just found this spider web and cluster of eggs on my children's playset. Obviously planned to leave it alone if harmless, but as you can imagine I have handy toddlers so want to make sure that it is harmless. The cluster of eggs is probably 1.5cm And the spider itself is probably 1cm with a web about six or seven inches in diameter.

The spider appears to be an orb weaver (family Araneidae) of some kind; these all are harmless to humans. The eggs likely were laid by a moth; they certainly do not look like an egg mass of a spider. The only spider in Colorado at all dangerous to humans is the black widow.
