Betty’s grab bag tutorial/July Challenges/organizing/sharing

Victoria Harbour, ON

Here we go Pat and whoever wants to share the grab all bag i gave to many of you years ago and you say you still use it..not that Pat has nothing to do so i decided I’d give her a challenge.

Now this bag can be made with left over fabrics or co ordinating yardage…

For this one i will use yardage but what a nice way to use up those scrap blocks you have sitting there..

The one i took photo’s of was made from cut 4”block for front and back..im using coordinating fabric so am cutting 2 pieces of same fabric (front and back) and another 2 pieced. “ coordinating fabric for inside of bag. Note: i would not use squares for inside /outside of inner bag

PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I DON’t EXPLAIN MYSELF CORRECTLY

You will need:

extra large button
1 1/2 yard cording
1 toggle

So now i cut
2 pieces for outer bag. 16 1/2” x 20 1/2”
2 pieces inner bag. 16 1/2”x 20 1/2”
4 pieces of batting. Slightly larger 16 1/2 x 20 1/2” for quilting portion
