CLOSED: Spider amongst the cicadas

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6a)

Spotted this spider when sorting thru some yard waste. He decided to run around the rim of my yard cart. He or she did not jump or hop. One prominent white dot on back. Some other pale white marks that didn’t photograph well. Size was less than an inch.
Thanks for the assistance.

Sorry the pictures are so miserable. They didn’t make the journey from IPhone to DaveS without losing just about everything that would make identification possible.

Minot, ND

It's a female jumping spider in the genus Phidippus; it appears to be P. audax, a very widespread species known as the bold/daring jumper. This species shows a fair amount of variability in its color pattern.

Thanks, Flapdoodle,
I guess this spider was not in the mood to jump today. Thanks for the link to better pictures and more info: this was definitely a match.
