CLOSED: Trying to ID by bird (?) call

Sound is at 3:30. Everything else is just noise. Turn up your volume.

To give you contexts into the sound:
I live in south texas, the very bottom of texas. The place I live is rural. A lot of wooded area.
I only hear this sound late at night (this specific recording was at 4am), but I've heard it in the mornings and towards the evening.
I have heard this sound in a youtube video of a person that lives in oregon (near Troy). You can hear it in this timestamped video. Turn up your volume and listen to the background: https://youtu.be/B0SejTWds-M?t=2736
I hear the sound in one general area from where my house is. I don't hear it in any other direction from my house other than in a wooded area.
The sound occurs a good distance away from me. Don't know the exact distance, but it's definitely not near me.
Possible that there is more than one of these animals, as the recording does pick up what sounds like a second one of these things.
The noise this thing makes is sparse and not similar to other bird sounds where it's constant. It does not follow a pattern other than making the noise at least four times like in the recording.
This is the only sound that I hear, emphasize on "I hear". I don't know if this thing makes any other sound.
The closest thing that I can think of that makes a sound similar to this is a peacock when they go "AYAAH". However, peacocks also make much more different and loud noises than just that, which I would surely hear. This thing also makes more of a "AYOO" sound.

Would appreciate any help!

If you are in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, it could be a Thicket Tinamou. Is it in an area of fairly dense brush?

Download Merlin- it is a free bird ID app from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. When you hear the bird calling, turn on Merlin and it will give you good matches.

Trying to ID this bird. I am in Northwest Washington state. There was about a dozen of them in my yard this morning.

Really? If you've seen one, could you post a picture here? That'd help a lot.

That bird doesn't sound like what I hear. That bird gives more of a whistle. The bird I hear gives more of a hoot. I've also never seen that bird around here before.

Yes, I do hear it in fairly dense brush. I'm sorta surrounded my wooded area.
Odd thing is, I don't hear the bird anymore and haven't for a while since I posted this thread. That could mean it's a migratory bird.

I also did try SongSleuth to no success. It did not find a bird with that call. I'll try merlin though, and if no other success, try to contact my local ornithologist.

Thanks anyways!
