Elephant ears

Owosso, MI(Zone 5b)

Could anyone tell me if there is a hardy elephant ear bulb that will survive left in the ground over winter in my Michigan climate zone 5b?
And please what is the name of it if there is one where it could be found?

Elephant ears are native to tropical regions and therefore not reliably hardy outside their zones. Can't imagine one surviving your temperatures. I had one in Atlanta that lived for many years and grew into a clump several feet in diameter with leaves over five feet. It survived temperatures down to teens. One year it just didn't come back.

A friend gave me some potted bedding perennials last year. One contained a stowaway EE. I planted it (the perennial) at my cottage in the N. GA mountains. Surprise, not blackeyed Susans! It grew leaves several feet tall, killing off the neighboring perennials, and is returning again this year. I took an offset and stored it in the event it didn't make it. Now I need a place for that one.
