Berries are around 3/4" long and taste sweet and kind of junipery.
Not sure what it is exactly.

SOLVED: Manzanita With Oval Black Berries???
They could be berries from a Myrtus.

This shrub is growing in the yard where I live, and I have looked on and off on the internet for a couple years and found nothing.
Solved :-)
