SOLVED: shrub w/ white flowers on barrier island

Weeki Wachee, FL(Zone 9a)

Folks, can anyone ID this gorgeous shrub? It grows profusely in shell midden on a barrier island just north of Cedar Key, FL. It was blooming as late as a week ago.

These appear to be fruits rather than flowers. Perhaps it’s Chiococca alba (Milkberry).

Well, that does look an awful lot like what I saw. Never occurred to me it might be fruit. I'll check for yellow blossoms here shortly; if I see that I can be sure it's Milkberry!! Many thanks.
