Bug Found in Kitchen Drawer

North Hollywood, CA

I’m about to start a new lease on an apartment but I found a bug in one of the drawers. I have spent the last hour or so scouring the web to try and identify it BUT to no avail.

Do you guys have any ideas? I’m in Los Angeles and it was found in a kitchen draw dead. It is a bit smaller than a dime. It has long feelers, maybe four of them. The body was oval shape. It was yellowish brown. I could see two legs popping out the back and two claw like hands out the front. The backs of the bug also had ridges.

Below is a link to a photo of the bug.

Should I be worried about signing the lease?

Thanks!!

I could be a silverfish or firebrat, both nuisance pests that seldom do any real harm - see http://ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn7475.html
However, I also see what appears to be the shed skin of a larva of a carpet beetle. These can be quite destructive to a wide variety of materials, including dry stored food products and woolen/silk fabrics. See http://ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn7436.html
Check to see if the property management has a contract with any pest management service.
