What to do with weeds

Hey everyone,

I know weeds get a bad wrap these days, especially the invasive kinds. When I walk around step on a thistle, I definitely think or say a few choice words...

Anyway, I've been working with people across the world to grow their own food and make their own medicine and I really think it's important to also look at the benefits of weeds.

There are thousands of seeds in the soil waiting to germinate in the right conditions, weeds are just a reflection of the soil conditions and other unfortunate circumstances. I created an awesome resource for free fertilizers if you want to check it out at freefertilizers.com. And while I'm working to restore the soil, I also appreciate what weeds can really do for me. https://youtu.be/h2venCIUljg

I love thistle, dandelion, and seaweed. I make a killer thistle juice in the summer to keep me working hard all afternoon. I even started using seaweed to reverse my grey hair: https://youtu.be/bpxsRfTS9Z4. A lot of people know that dandelion is great for detoxing the body, but did y'all know about the pain relief that comes with wild lettuce?
Anyway, just a thought. Stay positive and stay in the sun.
Warmly,
Marjory

Still advocating for weeds! Can't believe how many people are still spraying them x_x

In case you haven’t heard, many weeds are great for your mental and physical health.
I’ve seen advertisements for dandelion root tea, mullein leaf, and horsetail recently. Many people claim that these few weeds are good for your liver, kidney, lung, and overall health. Maybe we should change our response to weeds, huh?

Last summer, I hiked parts of Colorado with my gluten-sensitive assistant. Lol made her keep a lookout for cattail. Then before our hiking adventures were over, I made her a yummy gluten-free pie. Nature is literally the gift that keeps on giving. Let me know if I should share my cattail pie recipe.

I joined my friend, Dr. Patrick Jones, Veterinarian and Naturopath at HomeGrownHerbalist.net, to explain the pros and cons of cultivating weeds on your property in your garden. https://vimeo.com/351201259
