Hello,
Can anyone identify these white spots on my tomato plants leaves and offer any suggestions on how to prevent them next year.
FYI, nearby cucumbers and peppers did not seem to be affected, but some flowers (Peonies, Lillies) not far away developed similar white coating. Lillies did not bloom and just withered away.
All plants (tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers) grew tall and produced a lot of fruit.
Thanks in advance.
White Spots on Plant Leaves
It looks like powdery mildew. Avoid wet leaves. If you are not an organic gardener you can retard it with Daconil. I have not found home remedies such as milk sprays or cornstarch powder effective. This is usually more common on squashes and cucumbers in hot humid conditions but not peppers.
