I'm still puzzling over this one. As the tarsi are clearly visible, I was able to eliminate quite a few possibilities, but those remaining just didn't seem to fit. Then the thought occurred to me tonight: what if it was an unusually slender tiger beetle? You can see examples of this body structure at upper right and left-center in this image - https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/cms/asset/9fb1c6cf-ad59-4e63-80cd-44ca042c55e9/syen12440-fig-0002-m.jpg
However, if it was a tiger beetle, it should have had very prominent mandibles (jaws). - did you notice if that was the case?

Thank you for investigating Flap. Unfortunately I don't think saw the mandibles but there's good chance it will return to the wall where I have a porch light and I will get another opportunity to see it.
