Any guesses on what ate my red bud leaves?
Been a bad year for insect infestations and disease this year on our shrubs and trees.
Red Bud Leaves Chewed up
The rounded/scalloped appearance reminds me of Leaf-cutter Bees collecting plant matter for their nests.
The fact that many of the leaves have no damage leads me to that, more than something eating them.
Thanks. I thought perhaps they were leaf eater bee shaped. With so many of them cut so deep I wasn’t sure.
Busy bees...
