Hi!
On the leaves of a maple these strange spots have appeared which I am trying to identify. Recently I have seen similar "spots" caused by Tischeria ekebladella whose larva gets stuck in a kind of pocket placed above the upper page of the leaf in the center of one of these "spots" but in Italy it would seem little present (Oasis protected island of Vivara) and I have little information on the subject.
By now we have enough elements to get to know with allochthonous insects they are soon expanding on the territory but, obviously the doubt that it could be the mentioned Moth it is extremely strong.
Alternatively what could it be?
Thank you for an answer!
