Summer is my favorite time of the year. Our four dogs love swimming and we love watching them play in the pool. One of my other favorite things to do in the summer is piddle around in the yard. They say a gardener’s yard is usually messy because they’re always planting, digging, rearranging, etc. My daddy used to say my mama’s shrubbery spent more time in a wheelbarrow than in the ground because she was always digging something up and moving it to a different location. I inherited that trait.
I also love watching the Boys of Summer play baseball and because I’m lucky enough to work at a baseball stadium, I get to watch every game played in a season. Sadly, that’s not possible this summer but there’s always next summer. Meanwhile, I’ll keep piddling around in the yard.
