I noticed this a little late but appears to be some kind of boring insect holes, not a woodpecker, that has gotten into this shrub. Can anyone identify it from the evidence it leaves behind? It is multitrunked but I fear that this will not make it. Any products or sprays I can use to combat this? I just recently tried spot spraying 3n1 but do not think it will do much locally. There is also the appearance of some "rust" on the leaves.
Insect Boring_Red Bud Tree, is it gonna make it?
