Is this some sort of plantain/burdock? Edible?

Winnetka, IL

Growing at the base of my compost bin, near north Chicago suburbs. Looks a lot like some sort of plantain or burdock, but not any I've seen elsewhere in my yard. (Ordinary burdock with reddish veins right next to it.) Would be cool if it's edible. Thanks for any help.

Looks like the weed teasel to me.
