Is it safe to move a plum tree a few feet with the diameter of 5" and 10 feet tall in the Pacific Northwest?
Thanks in advance

Should be okay. Get a big enough root ball and use a tarp or burlap material to move it once it is dug up to keep the root ball as intact as possible. We did this for a bigger Okame cherry tree a few years back - it was smaller than its two siblings due to the stress of digging and moving but it still came out just fine.

They looked like this after a year or two in the ground - first photo was in Feb 2013, second one March 2012.

Then we moved the middle one and it and the one closest to it looked like the 3rd photo. Mar 2014

The 4th photo is of the two bigger trees. PS - I cut the one we moved down and then cut the one on the left back to about 3 feet off the ground. They grow very fast. This was Feb 2018

Last photo was of the 3rd photo but the date was Feb 2018 too.
