Killing Bindweed

Saint Louis, MO(Zone 6a)

I posted this on another post but thought I'd make an individual post to possibly help others as distraught as I am. Have Bindweed and it has totally overtaken a large rock garden. As a scientist, I went to Google Scholar for answers. Several articles say most Bindweed is immune to Roundup. This article says Imazapyr is effective: https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/weed-technology/article/field-bindweed-convolvulus-arvensis-control-with-imazapyr/FB4A622679D8C96E6CD276582CFC43C0 I found a source: https://store.doyourownpestcontrol.com/imazapyr-4-sl I am hoping others will try and post results. Due to the large quantity and location, I am applying it full strength to cut ends, then covering the area with landscape fabric. Articles say roots can go 6 ft deep and sprout as long as 3-5 years after being light deprived, so stay dedicated. Please post your results. For those that know there is a moth and a mite that attacks Bindweed, I looked to buy those first. Unfortunately there is only ONE place in the country who has those moths and mites and they will only sell to residents of Colorado. It's the death of common sense again.... So the rest of us have no option. Note: do not get Imazapyr on other plants. It will kill them.

Hope this helps...
