Tiny wart-like growths on short twigs/spurs of 'Beauty' oriental fruiting plum tree. Haven't been able to find matching pictures online to diagnose it. Picture taken yesterday (9/27/18). Anybody have a clue what might be causing this?
warty growths on plum spurs/twigs
University Extension Service says it is just poor growth due to lack of fertilizer & water.
2018 thread, doubt op still waiting on answer, but thanx from the rest of us...
This might be due to the lack of sufficient moisture in soil due to improper or no fertilization done in the field. To solve this, remove infected twigs and branches from trees and shrubs and make sure that your plants are not lacking moisture and important nutrients. In case you are not able to find the solution for these types of problems, hire Contender’s tree and lawn care specialists to take care of your lawn. They offer several lawn and pest control programs to help you maintain the healthy life of your lawn or yard.
